Vegans aren’t as proficient in endurance sports, right?
Meet Sonya Looney. She’s a world champion pro mountain biker, certified health and performance coach, podcast host, and TEDx speaker. She was featured in the New York Times bestseller The Plant-Based Athlete by Matt Frazier and Robert Cheeke (check out episode 94 of the podcast with Robert, by the way).
Sonya has raced her mountain bike across the world in over 25 countries at the hardest endurance races, in places like the Sahara Desert, Himalayas of Nepal, tropical jungles in Asia, steppes of Mongolia, and mountain ranges in Poland. She became a World Champion in 2015.
She tells us how, and much [much] more in this episode!
Important topics and points you don't want to miss:
>> Sonya had 2 completely plant-based pregnancies and mountain biked until the day both her kids were born. People think you can’t do that when you’re pregnant! >> People think folks who achieve things are extraordinary, but high-performers are just normal people with extraordinary habits. >>The importance of prioritizing health as your foundation (as it’s the first thing to go when people get busy).
